Post
Production
The
Editing process is what brings it all together. Conforming
hundreds of feet of film or tape into a finished product that
displays your image, tells your story, and sends a clear and
compelling message, all happens in post. The
process of post-production includes much more than just cutting
the tape to match the script.
This
is where we add sound effects, music, voice-over, graphics,
special visual effects, titles, and animation. Using state-of-the-art
equipment and software enables us to construct the basic framework
of the video, and then refine it to meet or exceed the original
vision. Our modern post-production facility is equipped with
some of the best hardware and software available.

The
core of our post-production center is our Media 100 XS.
Running on a top of the line Macintosh G4, and capable of
image quality exceeding network television broadcasts, the
Media 100 gives us a high-end editing system that is fast,
efficient and versatile.
Waterman
Video Productions also maintains an annual Platinum
Service contract with Media 100 Inc., which means that they
send us new software updates automatically, every time they
improve their system. These updates keep us on the cutting
edge of nonlinear editing technology.

In addition to recording high-fidelity sound on location,
we have taken great care to select the finest music and sound
effects libraries available. A primary difference between
a major motion picture and a low budget video is the presence,
or lack, of full, rich sound. Most of this sound is added
or created in the post process. In addition to great libraries,
we also offer Foley effects (custom made sounds created in
our studio), to make the precise sound some productions need.
Using hardware by Lexicon and Behringer, we can fine tune
the sound on your audio tracks to enhance the picture the
same way the big studios do it.
Our
Media 100 XS is able to sample and playback sound at 48000
Hz, which is better quality than a music CD, (and probably
higher quality than most people can hear).
